Agartala, Sep 19 (PTI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was impressed by the BJP's win in recent bypolls to two assembly seats which have sizeable minority voters.
Several trains have been cancelled and diverted in Jharkhand and Odisha due to an indefinite rail blockade called for by Kurmi organizations. The blockade is being held to demand Scheduled Tribe status for the community and the inclusion of Kurmali language in the Constitution. The South Eastern Railways and East Coast Railways have cancelled and diverted multiple trains as a precautionary measure. Kurmi organizations from Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha will participate in the blockade, with thousands of people from the Kurmi community expected to take part.
