People were shot and killed in a vehicle nearby. Five minutes later, five more people were shot in the plot of a cracker barrel. And right now there does not appear to be any connection. We begin with breaking news. Police have a perimeter set up in north denver. This is at 38th and high street. We have just learned aawoman was shot there. Denver 7 reporter Lindsay Watts is live on the scene. Police. Reporter officers here are investigating a very scary situation that unfolded about two hours ago. Police say that three men broke into one of these apartments behind me and then shot a woman inside. Police say that her injuries dont appear to be life threatening. She was able to talk. She was transported to the hospital. We are hoping she is going to be all right. Those three suspects are still on the run right now. Police havent offered much of a description of them. We just know they are three African American men. You can see police have set up a large perimeter. This is 38th avenue right at the intersection of high street. That exploded this morning. Again that couple was able to get out safely. Not only was their house burned but take a look at house next door to theirs. It also caught fire and suffered some damage. Just to give you an idea of how strong this explosion was, i noticed this burned propane tank across the street on the ground there. I have been speaking to people that live in this area. There is a lot that have come out to see what is going on. They say after this explosion happened, even blocks away, they felt their homes shake.
