With COVID numbers in the national capital dropping to a three-month low, all market activities are allowed from today, i.e. June 14, but with certain restrictions as part of the phased unlock plan of the Delhi government.
On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced that all activities will be allowed in the national capital after 5 am on Monday except for some activities that will be prohibited and some activities that will be done in a restricted manner.
After a long lockdown and curfew in Delhi, the capital city is ready to unlock. Starting from Monday, most of the public places will be allowed to open and work; but not at full capacity. There are different rules for restaurants and malls. Restaurants can work at 50 per cent seating capacity and malls can work at full capacity. They need not follow the odd-even rule. The
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had last week announced the reopening of markets, malls and Delhi Metro services among other relaxations, saying that more activities would be allowed if the Covid situation continued to improve in the city
Easing the COVID-induced curbs in Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal said all activities will be permitted after 5 am on Monday, except some activities that will still be prohibited, and some activities will be done in a restricted manner
"We will observe this for one week. If cases increase, stricter restrictions will have to be reimposed, otherwise, it will be continued," said Kejriwal.
