The transformation of the Indian–U.S. relationship has been one of the great U.S. foreign policy success stories of the past two decades. Cooperation has not always come easy, or developed as quickly and meaningfully as its advocates hoped, but its geopolitical significance of the evolving partnership is undeniable.
A dialogue involving both the two foreign and defense ministers of two countries is a diplomatic format reserved for the closest strategic partnerships.
