Wabash Valley residents David and Dawn Vasquez worked alongside MADD to organize the event. The couple lost their son, Shawn Vasquez, to a drunk driver last July. “A lot of people in town knew Shawn and he knew everybody too. If he knew you, you were his friend. He was a larger than life kid that loved to live life to the fullest,” says Dawn Vasquez. The event will be in Shawn’s memory. As the Vasquez family remembers their lost loved one, they hope that no other family goes through a similar pain.
