The creek fire has shut down the 280 freeway and destroyed at least 30 homes right there in the los angeles area. And dozens of schools have canceled classes for today due to the fires. Meanwhile, helicopter crews working into the night, dropping fire retardant and water are trying desperately to get this under control.
