good morning, thanks for joining us. i m carolyn tyler. let s start with a quick first look at the weather. here is lisa argen. lisa: good morning, we re looking at partly cloudy skies from high definition emeryville camera. we will see the clouds clear for the most part. south wind is blowing. temperatures are still quite mild outside the delta. enjoy today, numbers coming up again into the 80s. we ve got a nice summertime temperature spread despite the cooldown since yesterday at this time. the numbers will be trimmed back a few degrees but that is nothing compared to a 15-degree drop tomorrow. we ll have the fog clear the coast. more sunshine, warmth inland and then it looks like a return maybe to see showers. carolyn: queen elizabeth is braving rainy weather with majestic colorful flotilla of 1,000 vessels celebrating her 60 years on the british throne. they are waving the union jack and waving hello as the royal family sailed past including william, kue9 and harry. l
aruba one of her closest friends in the city of frederick, maryland, where she kept an apartment is speaking out. we want to find our friend. we want to bring her home. reporter: leanne gallardo runs a popular italian restaurant where she first met 35-year-old gardner. she says they became fast friends. with news aruban authorities are relaunching a new search for gardner involving police, firefighters and possibly the military there is renewed hope of finding out what happened. it s awesome news. her friends and family couldn t be more ecstatic about that. i mean our main goal right now is trying to find robyn. reporter: one of the many mysteries, what kind of relationship did gardner and gary giordano have and why did she agree to travel with him? gary had earned her trust and was a friend to her. so when things happened, she had lost her job, things weren t going right here. so she just thought the opportunity arose and she went to aruba with a friend. reporter
and at one point he fired at cars on 580 which led to the freeway closure. let s go live to cheryl hurd with the latest. cheryl? reporter: police are waiting out the situation. a few moments ago i saw s.w.a.t. team members circling the member. a suspect wanted in a stabbing and shooting remains holed up in a hotel, a section of the 580 is closed and could affect your morning commute. the bridge is open tonight after police closed it today when the suspect allegedly fired a shot across the bridge. s.w.a.t. officering continue to surround the hotel where the armed suspect claims he has his girlfriend held up there. we have surveillance pictures of the man, taken sunday at the united market on 3rd street. he was involved in a shoplifting incident that turned into a stabbing. when officers tracked the suspect s location to the hotel at 8:30 this morning, he barricaded himself inside. we came back after dropping some supplies off and they said you can no longer go back into yo

council has been that all of the estimated 110 cannabis clubs operating in the city are illegal w. state law allowing the clubs, council members knew they had to take some kind of action. on a motion, all in favor. on a narrow 6-5 vote, they okayed cannabis clubs. they will only be allowed in commercial areas and the operator wills undergo background checks. the good news is they are taking this forward. collective operator says he s glad the city did not shut the industry down, but says the path ahead is uncertain. a will the of clubs are likely to close or be tied up in litigation. some con mill members argued the club should be shut down all together, siting expense and potential legal problems. it is really not a good investment to continue asking our staff to expand their time on some issue that might invite the lawsuit from the federal government. one of the strongest things and best things this council can do. reporter: chris moore spoke out against leg
