director of special projects. david, to you first on this one. does this report make sense to you? if flight 370 crew was unresponsive due to lack of oxygen then who turned on auto pilot? the auto pilot has a lot of different modes. what we are talking about in this report is that it was in efficiency mode. in efficiency mode it would have changed the speed of the aircraft to make it more efficient as it burned off fuel. at that point it will change its speed to make up for that. that gives good explanation as to why they couldn t pin down the exact speed because the speed does change as it goes along. i think this report tells us a lot but doesn t tell us everything certainly. do you have any theories on why those pilots might have been unresponsive? well, i do, actually.
