County. Megan . Barbara, it really is a terrible story. A 2yearold girl is dead after her mothers boyfriend accidentally left her unattended in a car for several hours. Now police say the boy friend put three children, the 2yearold girl and her siblings, age 10 and 15 in the car at a residence on conwell drive. That happened in the morning yesterday. He then dropped off the two older children and returned back home, not realizing that the toddler was still in the back seat. Several hours later, around 3 30, he then drove to Pentagon City to pick up the childs mother. Thats when he saw the 2yearold child unconscious in the back seat. Police say it appears that this was an accident. They do not suspect there was y criminal intent. Detectives have alluded to the pib routine. We know one person inside that house was treated for smoke inhalation. Derrick ward is live there this morning with the very latest. Wow, we can see a lot of damage behind you. Reporter indeed there is. Take a look at the damage. The roof is gone, the garage is totally exposed from the top. Even the house next door, the vinyl siding buckled and began to melt.
