We are on the scene with firefighters who are trying to get a handle of the situation. Kate lets go to you. Reporter this fire has been relentless and firefighters have not given up. More than eight hours after this fire has started firefighters are still spring water on the Hardware Store on Mission Street. This fire is devastating. It is no secret that Affordable Housing is very much in demand. These flames took something away from those who had the most to lose. The smoke was so thick and black, it could be seen from the bay bridge. The five alarm fire ripped through Affordable Housing and Small Businesses in the mission. It just kept coming in and filling up the kitchen and hallway. Reporter the flame flames torched six buildings and nine businesses leaving 50 people with no place to live.
