Police say the driver of the white toyota 4runner was 50 yards away in another part of the parking lot and then witnesses said it sounded like he gunned his engine. San jose police say the driver may have had some sort of a medical emergency right before the collision. It was at 15 Miles Per Hour the last time we checked on the wind map and now is 18 Miles Per Hour around livermore. You go east of livermore and they had wildfire there just over a week ago and now is the same area that has a slightly heightened fire danger because the wind has to accelerate a little bit. The wind in that spot likely in the 2020 mileperhour range. It is enough to fan the flames. Also if you notice some smoke or haze overhead it is because of some larger fires down to our south. The worst of it just outside of our counties, but you can see where that smoke and that hayes is much more prevalent. Of course this is just the beginning of the fire season.
