Film producer and Duncannon native John Wallace has become the 11th recipient of the Dan O'Herlihy Fellowship Award after he was presented with the prize by the Wexford Film Society in the Arts Centre. The Fellowship is named in memory of the Wexford-born and Oscar nominated actor Dan O'Herlihy who died in 2005.
Following on from the success of last year’s ‘Producing from Beyond the Pale’ panel, Women in Film and Television Ireland (WFT) and Wexford Screen Writers Academy have come together once more to host the second iteration of the event this Sunday, November 19 at Wexford Arts Centre.
Cannes Film Festival prize winners, Oscar nominees, and the best entries from the Venice Film Festival are on offer for audiences as part of The Picture House’s (Wexford Film Society) programme for the 2023/24 season. At the launch of the new season of screenings, chairperson Stephen Eustace announced that that the first film of the year would be shown in a very special setting.
