Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly asks government to take over it as the centre is in a government bungalow
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday said he had converted his official residence into a COVID-19 care centre, with 50 beds for patients and all necessary medical equipment.
Mr. Yadav, who is also Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, has set up the centre at his 1, Polo Road residence in Patna in his personal capacity. “But I cannot run the centre as it is a government bungalow,” he said in a video message.
It has been observed that in several villages there has been a severe shortage of firewood due to the rising number of cremations with an unprecedented frequency. But nothing makes it to the official data.

The Bihar government on Sunday decided to impose a night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am as part of new measures to check the spread of the killer virus, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced.
A decision has also been taken to extend the closure of schools/colleges/coaching centres till May 15 from April 30 decided earlier, he told reporters. Religious places of all faiths will remain shut till May 15 in view of the sudden spike in coronavirus cases in Bihar, the chief minister said. Earlier, they were closed till April 30.

The increasing case of COVID 19 in Bihar is becoming the matter of concern for the state government. Today, 10 students of Bojpur Navodaya Vidyalaya found infected due to coronavirus. 5 infected persons have died in PMCH. To address the issue, CM Nitish Kumar will hold a high-level meeting at 4 pm today.
Navodaya Vidyalaya in Bhojpur has 10 students positive. Out of the total number of infected students, 8 have been shifted to quarantine center in Dulore, Jagdishpur. 2 students have been sent to home isolation. Students were instructed by the school administration to return to their respective homes.
