The Bihar government on Sunday decided to impose a night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am as part of new measures to check the spread of the killer virus, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced.
A decision has also been taken to extend the closure of schools/colleges/coaching centres till May 15 from April 30 decided earlier, he told reporters. Religious places of all faiths will remain shut till May 15 in view of the sudden spike in coronavirus cases in Bihar, the chief minister said. Earlier, they were closed till April 30.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a series of restrictions including night curfew across the state, as Covid cases showed a sharp spike. All shops and business establishments should be closed by 6 pm and government offices should close an hour earlier, the Chief Minister said.
Over the last 24 hours, Bihar recorded 8,690 cases an all-time high. The total caseload is more than 3 lakh.

Patna: Amid surging COVID-19 cases, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday announced the imposition of a state-wide night curfew and also issued some fresh guidelines. The CM said all cinema halls, malls, clubs, gyms and parks will remain shut till May 15.
