(WIS) - A group of students from Lexington-Richland 5 high schools showed up with masks, and signs Monday evening, asking for district leaders to keep their safety in mind as they look at moving back to five day face-to-face learning. According to the district’s website, all students will be returning to face-to-face learning on February 1st. RELATED STORIES: “I never thought it’d be this big political issue, keeping people safe. Keeping people from getting sick, and it became one,” student Haley Dorsey said. Many students at the protest are asking that, at the very least, the district just keeps the four days in-person/one-day virtual schedule they’re currently using.
