Heading to the south bay where were seeing the fires over the hills as we look from the south bay as well as the east bay, were seeing weather conditions there with calm wind and temperatures at 70 degrees and the relative humidity is fairly low at 27 and for the north bay, were monitoring those weather conditions starting off 70s. There is another one for the entire city of healdsburg. The scu in santa clara, alameda and contra costa counties and the czu in san mateo and santa cruz counties and the l and u, which started in sonoma and not the counties and burned around yolo counties. The lnu has scorched to 24,000 acres, about a 200 square miles. There is still 0 containment. By comparison, the biggest wildfire last year burned just over 77,000 acres and that was the kincade fire in sonoma county. We have new video coming in from the fires burning in the Santa Cruz Mountains. More than 20,000 people have been evacuated in that area. This is affecting a lot of peoples lives and you can see this video ththres cr homes. It has burned 25,000 acres so far in the hills of santa cruz and San Mateo County and at least 20 buildings. We saw a lion of a dozen fire trucks going to that area but cal fire is having trouble responding to all of these fires, as we have been talking about. They are spread very thinly, two First Responders have been injured in this firefight. Thsh d at structure you saw burning was a long empire great road. All of these are under evacuation orders. For the people in San Mateo County, this is the same big complex for them. Tey can go to Half Moon Bay high school. The air quality over the peninsula looks moderate at the moment. Unhealthy in the inner east bay and south bay and also the eastern edge where fires are burning. As we get into the afternoon, we are not expecting any improvement. There is a look at the estuary. You can see cloud cover there indicating whether changes that are already underway. Here is a look at what we are expecting for the afternoon. Poor air quality with an onshore breeze coming in and will improve things in some areas.
