Smart lockdown extended in hotspot areas of six cities

LAHORE : The Punjab government has extended smart lockdown in six cities till December 31 in hotspot areas with maximum emergence of Covid-19 cases amidst rising second wave of coronavirus in the province.
According to separate notifications issued by Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), Punjab, on Saturday, the smart lockdown has been imposed in hotspot areas of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Gujrat and Hafizabad. The smart lockdown is imposed in 22 hotspot areas in five towns of district Lahore including Samanabad Town, Aziz Bhatti Town, Nishtar Town, Allama lqbal Town and Cantt areas.

LAHORE:Around 31 Covid-19 patients died while another 831 new infections were confirmed in Punjab province during the last 24 hours.
According to report issued by Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SH) Department Friday, the death toll reached 3,522 in Punjab, while confirmed cases of coronavirus reached 130,122 in the province. As per the spokesperson for Corona Monitoring Room at Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, 15,395 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, which raised the total number of tests to 2,255,275 in the province.Around 106 Covid-19 patients recovered in the province during the last 24 hours taking the number of total recovered patients to 115,701 so far.

LAHORE: Around 31 Covid-19 patients died while another 831 new infections were confirmed in Punjab province during the last 24 hours. Whereas in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, The number of active cases of coronavirus illness, COVID-19 from Islamabad Capital Territory and Rawalpindi district is continuously showing a depression for the last week mainly because of a significant downward trend in the number of patients being tested positive for the illness from the region.

Corona kills 39 more in Punjab

LAHORE:Around 39 COVID-19 patients died and 618 new infections were confirmed in Punjab during the last 24 hours, according to report issued by Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SH) Department on Thursday.
The death toll reached 3,491 in Punjab, while confirmed cases became 129,291 in the province. As per the spokesperson for Corona Monitoring Room at Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, 16,458 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, which raised the total number of tests to 2,239,880 in the province.
After 3,491 fatalities and recovery of a total of 115,595 patients, 10,205 active cases still remain, who are either isolated at homes or under treatment at different public and private hospitals.

Following a surge in the number of coronavirus cases, the government has decided to impose smart lockdown in another 13 areas of the provincial metropolis.
Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Secretary Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman indicated that smart lockdown has been imposed in areas where reports of coronavirus tests are being received positive. He highlighted that smart lockdown has been imposed in affected streets and areas of Rang Mahal, inside Sheranwala Gate, Mochi Gate, Shahalam, Bhatti Gate, Islamia Park, Ravi Road, Kasur Pura, Badami Bagh, Khokhar Road and Iqbal Park.
