"Women's issues" are becoming increasingly important to the nation's policy makers and politicians. This has led, among other things, to the Economic Equity Act (H.R. 2090 and S.888) introduced in the House by Patricia Schroeder (D-CO), and in the Senate by Dave Durenberger (R-MN). The many subjects addressed by H.R. 2090 and S.888 fall into three broad categories. The first deals with tax and retirement matters and is found primarily in Title I. The second category deals with child care issues: dependent care tax credits and availability in Title II and child support enforce- ment in Title V.
