Rudimentary pipe bomb containing gunpowder. A u. S. Postal Service Carrier delivered it to the home. The bomb was designed to go off when the package was open. Investigators are focusing on gang members the officer may have arrested as potential suspects. These are serious federal felonies and this is an ongoing investigation. These are priority investigations. Investigators believe the same bomber likely sent a package in East Palo Alto in october. The victim was someone with gang ties but it was his father who opened it and was hurt by the explosion. Postal inspectors are urging people to be careful of suspicious packages.
