Crowds and protesters were out into Early Morning hours, but police say they didnt make one single arrest overnight. Police have been withholding the name of the officer who shot and killed brown, but now they say theyll release that name

For about an hour now we have been dealing with a report of an active shooter on the ucla campus in the westwood portion of los angeles. The pictures you are watching are live. They are from the knbc helicopter, our nbc station in los angeles. A little bit fuzzy, as we may be getting into a kind of marine layer of air over los angeles. Its getting a little bit tougher to discern details, given where the chopper is and where this portion of campus is. It seems to be located in and around the school of engineering. We had just the preliminary report that two people were hit, that there were two shooting victims. The initial reporting from the first eyewitnesses to the campus newspaper was, the whole campus just started running and i started running, too, said one young woman over a cell phone to the newspaper. Quoting, everybody was confused. We got into a building and nobody knew what was going on. Since then the campus put out an alert on its website and twitter and other ways they communicate with students to shelter in place, that the campus is on lockdown, that no one should be moving.
