A discussion about how commissioners should engage a labor attorney was raised at the April 2 Kandiyohi County Board meeting following a question from Commissioner Dale Anderson.
Kandiyohi County Board started 2024 by electing its chair and vice chair, approving a new official newspaper, setting committee assignments and approving the remaining union contracts.
In a split vote on Dec. 19, the Kandiyohi County Board approved three union contracts that include a 3% wage increase, on top of the 5% increase set to go into effect Jan. 1.
