Following direction from both the federal and state governments, Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services will soon be faced with the challenging task to rewind public assistance programs back three years. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is also going back to 2019 rules.
An adult health survey will collect valuable data on the health of Kandiyohi County's residents, which will be used for the county's state mandated community health assessment.
Almost three years after deciding to start the process to join the multi-county health insurance agency, the Kandiyohi County Board officially approved a motion to join PrimeWest Health. This will include paying the company approximately $258,000, which is significantly less than the $3.6 million that county was originally having to pay to join.
