In-person visitation in Delaware prisons resuming on March 16

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Department of Correction will resume in-person inmate visitation on Tuesday, March 16th, after temporarily suspending visitations back in November because of the pandemic.
Prison facilities in the state will begin taking registrations for those visits on Monday, March 8th, and can be done on the inmate visitation website.
In a statement, Commissioner Claire DeMatteis said in part, “Video visits have proven to be a safe, effective way to keep families connected during this pandemic, but we know in-person visits are important for inmates and their loved ones.”
