Fighters fight a brush fire on Yerba Buena Island next to the bay bridge, both by land and by sea. The location, terrain and winds all made it challenging for crews to get the upper hand. The hydrants are on the north side of the bridge. The fire was on the south side, and theres only one way to get our hoses across and unfortunately we had to inconvenience everyone to stop this fire where we did.
