The storm that was once Hurricane Harvey is on the move tearing a new path of destruction through the south. The storm spawned a reported tornado in western alabama damaging several buildings. At least four people have been injured. The torrential rain flooded streets in the memphis area where a tv reporter stopped reporting the news to rescue this woman there stranded in her car. Some voluntary evacuations were also issued in nashville. The storm is now moving northeast through kentucky. More flash flood watches have been issued. In the southeast part of texas more people are trapped in floodwaters and more evacuations have been ordered as the city of beaumont faces a second day without its water supply because the pumps are flooded. In some areas of texas the water is still rising, impacting an estimated 100,000 homes. 38 deaths are blamed on the storm and rescue missions are still under way. The coast guard chopping away to save a mother and her four children trapped in the home. But the water is not the only threat. A flooded Chemical Plant near houston is under a 24hour emergency watch. After two explosions. The owner says eight more chemical containers could possibly explode. Home owners within a 1 1 2mile radius were urged to evacuate. Epa air tests reportedly found no concentrations of toxic materials. And in another glimmer of hope, the countrys biggest fuel supplier has announced a fuel pipeline that supplies 40 of east coast fuel could be reopened by this weekend. The remains of harvey caused significant flooding in nashville. Most of the flood water in houston is expected to recede by early tomorrow but each day the extent of the damage becomes more clear. 37 people were killed. Ten percent of the buildings in houston were flooded. There are shortages of Drinking Water and some areas are running low on food. There is danger from polluted flood water.
