The storm that was once Hurricane Harvey is on the move tearing a new path of destruction through the south. The storm spawned a reported tornado in western alabama damaging several buildings. At least four people have been injured. The torrential rain flooded streets in the memphis area where a tv reporter stopped reporting the news to rescue this woman there stranded in her car. Some voluntary evacuations were also issued in nashville. The storm is now moving northeast through kentucky. More flash flood watches have been issued. In the southeast part of texas more people are trapped in floodwaters and more evacuations have been ordered as the city of beaumont faces a second day without its water supply because the pumps are flooded. And youre looking at beaumont, texas, still under water as you can see. Its been almost a week since that deadly storm hit and were seeing an incredible outpouring all across the country for those affected by harvey. People have said that were seeing the worst of Mother Nature and the best of human nature. And the staggering scope this morning, many people still stranded. The coast guard has rescued 9,000 people. And 1,000 pets this week. Nearly 100,000 homes destroyed and that number is likely to rise and perhaps dramatically. Meanwhile, this morning, new fears this is ominous, were watching a major Hurricane Irma intensifying over the atlantic.
