Cristina rendon shows us how it works. Reporter millions of americans are checking their Bank Accounts for direct deposit on the federal government. It will help to pay off some of the bills, you know, it is not enough. The irs launched a new feature on their website wednesday called get my payment. It allows taxpayers to file their returns for 2018 or 2019 to input their Bank Information to receive the payment by direct deposit. You can also check the status of your payment. Many say they are receiving messages like this one, payment status not available. The irs said the site is operating at record volumes.
