It will help to pay off some of the bills, you know, it is not enough. The irs launched a new feature on their website wednesday called get my payment. It allows taxpayers to file their returns for 2018 or 2019 to input their Bank Information to receive the payment by direct deposit. You can also check the status of your payment. Many say they are receiving messages like this one, payment status not available. The irs said the site is operating at record volumes. Mind of San Francisco mayor london breed, and not in a good way. No. You may recall last week we saw crowded beaches and parks as people got outside, perhaps a little bit too far from home. Both the mayor and Governor Newsom scolded californians for not practicing social distancing and for crowding parking lots at parks instead of just walking to their neighborhood park. Breed made it very clear there will be consequences if the behavior doesnt change this weekend. Governor gavin nenewsom declared a moratorium on evictions through may 31st. From the state of california. Statewide moratorium requires tenants to provide a letter to landlords no more than seven days after vent due, explaining their situation. They still have to pay their rent in a timely manor. A key aspect of this moratorium that doesnt sit well with senator scott weiner. It doesnt go far enough. People can still be evicted for not paying rent. They wont be evicted right now during the state of emergency but could be evicted after the state of emergency ends. A quick fix and way it delay evictions and not necessarily stop them.
