York city. So far we are hearing that everything is peaceful. Last night there was widespread looting and major damage to starts in midtown manhattan. Two officers were struck by a fling suv and another officer was beaten by protesters on the sidewalk. New york city is under curfew that went into effect a few minutes ago. It was a violet night in Vallejo Police looters were trying to take advantage of the situation. Its the Second Police shooting there in just the past two days. Anger on Small Businesses. Members of the chapter of the naacp organize a rally in front of city hall. At least 100 people carried signs and listen to speeches. In particular, a call for the creation of the civilian independent Police Oversight committee there. And now two of alejo. Hundreds protesting the killing of george floyd this afternoon. Organizers emphasized that this will be a peaceful protest and encourage those taking part to wear masks and practice social distancing. They marched in the name of all of the innocent black lives lost due to police brutality. They finally ended up along the waterfront. Police opened fire on a suspect last night after responding to looting at a drugstore.
