What a difference from what we saw just hours ago when thousands of people converged to protest which ended in violent clashes. He is the president of the united states. I know he is. And they were serious about this from the beginning. The chief told me earlier this week, they were going to be out in force, and they were. Oakland pd here, berkeley pd, other departments assisting. And there were literally, i believe, probably hundreds of officers out here in berkeley today. And it did get violent for a while. We were right in the middle of it. A lot of pushing. Nazi, go home. Reporter counterprotesters would surround Trump Supporters and chase them out of the park. In fact, police had to escort most of the Trump Supporters out of Civic Center Park. There were hundreds of officers in and around the park. Some were monitoring the crowds from rooftops. Once the Trump Supporters were on their own, some of the socalled antifas were on. Officers had to use a smoke bomb to break up a large fight outside of the park. I am checking over my back every second right now. Reporter i covered the previous protest here in berkeley.
