The late Farmer Bill was a staple in the City Heights community and his family and the city are honoring his legacy with the newest honorary street: Farmer Bill Dr. at the corner of Home and Euclid Avenues.
In the wake of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, William Gosch enlisted in the Marine Corps in December 1942 and was soon stationed in the Pacific Theater, participating in four combat missions over two years including the Battle of Okinawa.
