Well, we are starting out with two red flag warnings that will be in effect and watching conditions around both of those for this morning as we start out with this last day of heat for today. Were talking about highs reaching into the upper 80s. Well have two time frames were watching the potential of a high fire danger but it will be a much cooler weekend as we check out our temperatures and as well as the high wind gusts weve seen over the past 24 hours. Weve seen some of those gusts yesterday afternoon picking up to 28 miles an hour in the east bay. As we head out the door to work, mike, how is it looking for the commute . The last half hour was busy as far as finding the slow spots but now as we look at the maps things have calmed down quite a bit, even san jose where we saw the slowing which sometimes sticks around until 6 30. I think 6 40, 6 45 well see more south bay slowing again. Little pockets through berkeley and oakland have cleared up for 24, 580 and i80. The bay bridge toll plaza and i80. We do see the middle lanes starting to stack up that has been the trend so a slow build for the last 15 minutes. No metering lights yet. Back to you. Thank you, mike. Together and unfortunately creating high fire danger we will see golden gate into effect later this evening. Usually during the overnight hours you start to see the humidity levels coming up but that will not be the case over the next couple of days. So we are highlighting all of these areas above 1,000 feet especially where the humidity will be lowest and the winds will be highest as we also are looking at parts of the east bay, the Santa Cruz Mountains where we may have gusts in our upper elevations up to 50 Miles Per Hour during this time frame. We look what is going on now. So far the winds speeds have been fairly light but measured some wind gusts made it up to 28 miles an hour in parts of the east bay. San francisco had a gust of 22 and something we will monitor tonight because a lot of our computer models showing that we will see some high wind speeds and its not going to be as high in some of the valleys but our upper elevations will have to closely monitor those areas. We reach into the mid80s already by noon. We know its going to be a hot day as we plan for that red flag warning. Any fires that spark could spread quickly.
