Myles Levi and Avery Smith were crowned this year's Homecoming King and Queen at Cisne High School during ceremonies held Saturday. Levi is the son of Shawn and Jeanette Levi of Cisne. Avery is the daughter of Sonny and Tonya Smith of Johnsonville. The retiring King is Noah Atwood, son of Troy and Mandy Atwood of Cisne. The retiring Queen is Emily Milner, daughter of Mark and Terra Miller of Geff. Serving as emcee for the coronation was Aubrey Churchill, daughter of Daniel and Jennifer Churchill of Mt. Erie. Following the coronation the Homecoming Dance was held. The theme song was "So This Is Love" and the decorating theme was "Royal Ball". A 37 year old Sims woman pled out before Judge Molt in Wayne County Court Thursday. Carolyn Hatcher was originally arrested on a Class 3 Felony charge of Unlawful Possession of Meth back in February of this year. As per her plea deal, in exchange for her guilty admission, prosecutor Kevin Kakac dismissed a charge of Driving on a Suspended License Hatcher incurred while out on bail in August of this year. For her crime, Hatcher received only 2 years of probation. According to court documents, Hatcher was originally expected to pay upwards of $4,600 in fines and court costs. After being credited $400 for bond and 20 days at $30 per day worth of time served, plus a waiver of $2,215 court assessment, Hatcher will owe $1,400 in fines and court costs. Endangered Missing Person At the request of the Lawrenceville Police Department, the Illinois State Police have activated an Endangered Missing Person Advisory. The Lawrenceville Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating Floyd E. Wheeler. Wheeler is a 33-year-old white male, standing 5 foot 10 inches, weighing 150 lbs. Floyd has brown hair and hazel eyes, and was last seen wearing a ball cap, army green hoodie, jeans, and work boots. He was last seen at 1726 12th St, Lawrenceville at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 21st. Mr. Wheeler has a condition that places him in danger. Fairfield Park District will hold a special meeting today at 1:00 p.m. at the Swimming Pool at Leo French Park, Fairfield, Illinois 62837. The purpose of the meeting will be to meet and discuss the potential splash pad. The Wayne County Retired Teachers Association will meet on Tuesday, August 2, at Bob Boyles Hall on the campus of Frontier Community College in Fairfield.
