As we mourn the loss of congressman john lewis of georgia, a hero to some any of the, a champion for equality, we must, too remember the sacrifice and legacy he and Many Americans made in fighting for our rights and freedom. When discussing the removal of confederate monuments, congressman lewis described these efforts as the beginning of the movement that would help us move toward the realization that we are one people, one nation, and we have to be.
