WB Polls: 76.16 per cent voter turnout till 5:30 pm in fourth phase ANI | Updated: Apr 10, 2021 17:49 IST Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], April 10 (ANI): West Bengal on Saturday recorded a voter turnout of 76.16 per cent till 5:30 pm across 44 constituencies in five districts during the fourth phase of the state Assembly polls, according to the Election Commission (EC). The highest voter turnout so far has been reported in the Cooch Behar district with 79.53 per cent. The Bhangar constituency has witnessed the highest voting percentage with a turnout of 85.12 per cent till 5.30 pm, followed by Natabari with 84.50 per cent. The lowest voting percentage has been reported in Behala Purba with 66.23 per cent so far.

A total of 1,15,81,022 voters will participate in this phase, out of which 2,63,016 are first-time voters. The smallest constituency is Bally with 1,76,001 electorates whereas Chunchura is the biggest constituency with 3,13,701 electorates.

Out of 373 candidates, 323 candidates were male and 50 candidates were female. Cooch Behar recorded the highest turnout among districts while Bhangar saw maximum voters among all constituencies. Female voters dominated this phase as out of a total of 1,15,094,950 voters, 58,95,871 voters were men and 56,98,789 voters were women while 290 were of other genders.
