El Dorado’s boys finished third last year in the 5A South Conference Golf Tournament behind Benton and Hot Springs Lakeside. The defending champion Panthers bring four of their top five players back for this year’s tournament, which tees off Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hot Springs Country Club.
The 28th Simmons Bank Wildcat Invitational is slated to open the 2023 golf season on Monday, teeing off at 10 a.m. at the Lions Club. Nine schools are scheduled to compete in one of the longest running high school golf events in the state.
El Dorado’s varsity boys’ golf team will return three players from last year’s squad that finished third in the 5A South Tournament and sixth in the 5A State Tournament.
