Keith Witzky retiring Friday after 30 years with sheriff s office
He plans to get his clergy license and give some hope to jail inmates

MANSFIELD - Keith Witzky is retiring Friday after 30 years with the Richland County Sheriff s Office, having started in the jail, then onto court security and transportation, and, for the last 22 years, supervising the nonviolent offender jail inmate work crew program in Richland County.
Witzky, 60, doesn t plan to be gone too long from the Richland County Jail, however. He plans to get a clergy license so he can minister to jail inmates, prison inmates and those offenders at the Community Alternative Center.

MANSFIELD - Seven members of the Mansfield Police Department will retire on or before June 2, requiring police Chief Keith Porch to put some personnel back on patrol temporarily.
And sick leave, maternity leave and administrative leave on the force also has caused the chief to pull some officers back to patrol duties.
Three officers have retired since Jan. 1 - officers Rich Dittrich and Jeff McKinley and Capt. Doug Noblet. Officers Ron Barnes, Orlando Chatman and Andy Boor and assistant Chief Joe Petrycki will retire on or before June 2.
The total number of officers on patrol is 39 with 12 supervisors, Porch said.
