Cine Journalist Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi no more

Noted journalist, organiser and Amar Chobi famed presenter Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi passed away at 11:30 am today in the capital s Japan East West Medical College Hospital. The 65 year old was in the ICU of the hospital for 4 days.
The news was confirmed by director S A Haque Olike.
He had tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago, and was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital. He was shifted to the Japan East West Medical College Hospital in Uttara after his condition deteriorated.
Throughout his illustrious career, Lodi was at the helm of many successful television and radio programmes, the most renowned of which was Channel I s Amar Chobi , which he hosted and co-directed with Shamim Alam Dipen. From the year 2000, the film related show ran for 810 episodes, and received many accolades including the coveted Bachs
