The 65 year old was in the ICU of the hospital for 4 days. The news was confirmed by director S A Haque Olike. He had tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago, and was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital. He was shifted to the Japan East West Medical College Hospital in Uttara after his condition deteriorated. Throughout his illustrious career, Lodi was at the helm of many successful television and radio programmes, the most renowned of which was Channel I s Amar Chobi , which he hosted and co-directed with Shamim Alam Dipen. Journo Lodi dies of COVID-19 Sun Online Desk 18th April, 2021 07:46:55 Veteran film journalist, film society movement activist and anchor Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi died on Sunday. He was 66. He breathed his last at 11am on the day at Japan East West Medical College Hospital in Dhaka while undergoing treatment for COVID-19. The eminent journalist tested positive for COVID-19 last week and was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital initially. Later he was shifted to Japan East West Medical College Hospital in Uttara. He left his wife, two daughters, a son and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
