After 42 years, the admin building was too unsafe. Todays demolition wasnt about taking down an old building. We talked to people who are fond of the iconic building. Ryan . And for years, this was a decade for the city and for campus. Now look at the building. It is it looks like a ruin, but School Officials say that it went in as planned. Before we show youall of warren halls fall. Forgive rob warren as he gets sentimental. His grandfather bred cal state hayward. People who came to cal state or grew up in the area, its a real icon. My kids waited to see it blow up. The building meant more than she realized. It towered over campus, pirched on top of a hill. We would watch it all the way until you couldnt see it any more. I think thats where it kind of hit me. I hate crying. From childhood. Warren all had to go. It was the worst earthquake hazard in the cal state system. It was until, boom,.
