It began with a routine traffic stop in midland, when the gunman shot the officer who pulled him over. Police say the gunman then began driving down the highway shooting people from his vehicle. 22 miles away in odesa, texas. The gunman then hijacked a Us Postal Service truck and continued his shooting spree. He was then shot and killed by police in a Shopping Center parking lot. Authorities have identified the gunman but are not releasing much information at this point only that he is a white man in his 30s. The Shopping Center was filled with people going to the movies on a saturday night and they described the chaos. marty an infant and three Police Officers are among the wounded. Offshore on Santa Cruz Island. Five crewmembers jumped off the boat and were rescued but all 33 passengers went missing and so far only four bodies have been recovered. Taking charge of the logistics and influencing much of the symposium contacted lauren borchard, the societys director of historical programs, she has helped along by charlotte cummings, and several other Staff Members as well as a whole host, of enthusiastic volunteers.
