Cops warn of stern action over flouting of SOPs at Ramadan bazaars Bernama
KLANG: Following an increase in traffic movements and the breach of standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the conditional movement control order (CMCO) at an undisclosed number of Ramadan bazaars in the state, Selangor police said it will intensify enforcement to control the spread of the Covid-19.
Selangor police chief Commissioner Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamad (pix) said today that checks at Ramadan bazaars in the first two days of the fasting month showed many cases of non-compliance with the SOPs, especially in social distancing.
He advised organisers of the bazaars to ensure the SOPs are observed as they may face stern action if they flout the rules.

KUALA LUMPUR: A 52-year-old woman believed to be drink driving was arrested today after she crashed into two motorcycles and fled the scene at Jalan Taman Mulia in Ampang, near here, yesterday.
Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak said that a motorcycle had broken down and another biker was helping the owner with the machine at about 12.40am.
He said the woman who was allegedly drunk then crashed into the motorcycles before pulling over.
Mohamad Farouk said one of the bikers approached the woman but she refused to cooperate and drove off from the scene.
