Earlier today, but take a look at what was going on right up until that moment. Boy, the guys from the college and the women from the college showed up in force to fill thousands of sandbags as people came to load up and protect their houses all around the community. Some of the volunteers lost homes to flooding eight years ago. This woman showed up with her truck to check around town. I happened to have a truck, so i thought id help out to haul bags wherever they tell me to go. Reporter youve been going place to place. Absolutely. To see whoever needs the most help is where were going. I felt helpless in 2008. I could barely help myself. Now im able to help others. Reporter the marketplace shut down, bagged up. Business owners reminding us that the water levels may be but they say it could be so much longer than that before they get everything back online and can get the doors open. Keep the sunshine in the forecast as we head through this afternoon. We are seeing a disturbance that could move through later tonight. That could bring isolated showers to the north and east. As we get into tomorrow, we will keep the clouds and it will be a little cooler. For today, sunny and pleasant. It will be blustery with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. We will check the wapsi river level and anamosa coming up in a few minutes. A 13yearold girl is now dead after an Early Morning shooting. Stephanie johnson joins us live from the scene of where it happened.
