At the same time the driver of a Pontiac Firebird was traveling east on park and apparently did not see the trk and drove into it getting wedged under the trailer. People working in the area say the blinding Early Morning sunshine may have played a role. Going east on park avenue is very hazardous in the morning. The sun truly gets to you. Stabbed last night on the north side. Poli say the stabbing followed a sp shortly after seven. Katie crowther joins us live with the tragic details. Carole and georgethe 74yearold victim has been identified as herman davis. His daughter tells me the altercation happened here, as herman and his wife were driving home from bible stud pulling into this alley, behind their house near 23rd and capitol. She says some young men were blocking the entrance to the alley. Herman got out of his truck to confront themand some sort of argument ensued. Herman thought he had been punche but when he got back in his truck, and closer to homehe realized he was bleedingand had actually been stabbed. His wife called for help. He died at the hospitalleaving behind his wife of more than 50 years. Three children. And dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
