Stacker compiled a list of counties with the highest unemployment rates in North Dakota using Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Counties are ranked by their preliminary unemployment rate in August 2023, with initial ties broken by the number of unemployed people within that county, though some ties may remain. County-level unemployment rates are not seasonally adjusted.
Using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Ophelia broke down counties in every state with the highest opioid dispense rates. In the case of a tie, the county with the higher population and higher raw number is ranked higher. Data was available for 98% of counties in the United States. Overall in North Dakota, the opioid dispensing rate was 36.7 per 100 people, compared to 43.3 nationally.
Susan Gail Wild, 75, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, September 21, 2023, under the care of her family with the assistance of Red River Valley Hospice. Susan was born on December 2, 1947, in Langdon, ND, to Walter and Ada Bowles. She was their tenth and final child.
