Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened three new ghost kitchen models last week in Chicago, Orlando, Fla., and Oakland, Calif.
Barbecue fans in the surrounding five-to-ten-mile radius will be able to get their Dickey’s fix by ordering delivery directly to their doorstep through dickeys.com or the Dickey’s app.
Demand for Delivery
Dickey’s ghost kitchen model, which they unveiled earlier this year, services guests solely through online ordering and third-party delivery and is quickly becoming the barbecue brand’s fastest growing model.

Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. has promoted Carissa De Santis former vice president of information technology to chief information officer.
De Santis joined the Dallas-based barbecue chain in June 2019 where she oversaw all technology platforms. She also integrated all third-party delivery partners into Chowly, a third-party delivery consolidation service, which led to off-premise growth of 400%.
During the pandemic, De Santis led a redesign of Dickey’s e-commerce website to optimize mobile functionality. The improved, speedier digital experience directly contributed to a 42% increase in Dickey’s digital sales and 122% increase in site traffic.
