This time it was anything other than a tragic accident. It was a chaotic scene at the hoboken train terminal in new jersey after a speeding commuter train slammed right into the station during the middle of the morning commute. One woman who was standing on the platform was hit by flying debris and killed. 108 other people were hurt. This man was on board the train. It was a loud bang, yeah. It seemed like it didnt stop. And then, the lights went out. And then the roof just came down on it. So. The roof of hoboken crashed into the actual train. Reporter this train was coming into the station extremely fast when it struck a bumper block which sent the front car flying into the air. It flew about 40 feet before hitting a wall in the waiting room. First responderring raced to pull people from the wreckage. They pulled the windows out. They were helping to assist folks getting out of the windows. They were getting folks that could move off the train out of the train and getting them out of

The path of destruction continued through west oakland then on east bay freeways. [ choking ] Police Caught up to him at hearst and virginia in berkeley and kpix 5s anne makovec has more of todays chase and arrest near the spot where the suspect was taken into custody a couple of hours ago. Anne. Reporter they ended up taking him down with a beanbag gun. He was unarmed and on foot at the time. Police are still looking for the handgun used in this mornings wild ride. Police say this is the man that went on a wild rampage through east bay city streets this morning hitting dozens of cars. He would look at the driver and intentionally drive his vehicle into that persons car. Reporter and, police say, he pointed a gun at many of the drivers including a pregnant woman. Among the cars rammed, at least 4 Oakland Police cars and 2 from the berkeley pd. This incident was extremely dangerous.
