pot with some meth. you never see fat meth heads. that s true, but it is because they can t eat because they don t have any teeth. i think obama is pulling for the meth because the whole anti-obesity campaign let s move. i want to talk about something else. from pots to perverts. an ad showcasing the dual zone of the kia shortage is raising eyebrows for its creepy illustration of a teacher lusting after a student, and the student lusting right back. the panels on the left side of the ad, you can look at it there, show an innocent portrayal of a teacher helping a young student after class. on the right the student is now fantasized as older and, well hotter and suggests to the teacher that they study uh not me. the ad was developed by the brazilian agency, no surprise. i don t know why i said that. it was shown at the prestigious cannes lions festival where it won an award. they call it, quote, one of the sleezest car ads ever.
go daddy girls coming to set. everybody s staring. is there something to be said about these kinds of ads? i mean, sexy, steamy. does it always sell? well, does it get people s attention? yes. does it sell? i m not sure. it s an incredibly polarizing ad. they have been from day one. i know people who have moved their business away from go daddy because they find it, you know, a little bit insulting. i will say, believe it or not, this will not be the most scandalous ad in the super bowl this year. so what do you think is? i think you should watch the kim kardashian starring skechers ad for that one. well, heads-up on that one. how about the theme this year with the return of all these car commercials zm commercials? i know that kia s got one. we ll take a look at that. and as we do, let s just talk about what s behind the surge in the car ads. or this one s volkswagen, right? this is the kia one. absolutely. if you feel like during every ad break there s an auto ad,
talk about creating buzz and activity and interest. what a fascinating idea. plays off the american idol thing. particularly when the american idol may be flat right now, and tell you what, that is a very smart innovative ingenious way of doing it. how about the car ads? seeing those? not playing sound, but are they doing innovative things? too traditional? what do you think? interesting, at this time, with toyota having trouble. a brand in trouble. ford is the only automaker. audi has big ads. four other european international auto companies doing it, but ford is the only with. ford is saying we have nothing to hide. we don t have a problem. we re going out there and the only american company. listen, a lot of auto companies are hiding because of toyota. i think it s a mistake. you have to be strong and aggressive. ford s picked up sales. maybe this will help them. or taking over other people s problems. anything else coming out?
