Reporter students said the school went on lockdown for at least a half hour until police arrived. I guess it was a little bit scary, because the fact that we have that going on in our school . It is scary, but it was happening all the way across campus from where i was. So it was not me. I was not exactly concerned for myself. Reporter classes were canceled for the rest of the day and students were let out one building at a time. Parents were notified and rushed to the school to pick up their students. Some could be seen embracing after what was for all a traumatic day. I think it is sad and heartbreaking. I think we should be safer. If you remember, we have seen a number of cases of violence at bay area schools, including in san jose. Back in march, police took a seventh grader into custody for a stabbing.
