Stand For Students, an organisation of Indian and international students, set up a donation link on July 7 for hundreds of Punjabi students who are fighting ‘unjust deportation’ from Canada after fake admission letters were offered to them between 2017-2020.
The new announcement will help the remaining former students, who came to Canada between 2017-2020, take a breather as many of them maintain that they did not know about their admission letters being fraudulent.
In a relief to Indian students who are facing deportation from Canada over fake admission letters, the Canadian authorities on Wednesday said that they will not be sent immediately.Sean Fraser, the country s immigration minister, said that a task force has been formed to look into each case, NDTV reported.
Indian students, mostly from Punjab, were threatened with deportation after being duped by unscrupulous education consultants back home to enter Canada with 'fraudulent college admission letters'.
