A Greater Sudbury man involved in a shooting on Whittaker Street a year ago that wounded two men will now be sentenced in the late spring.

A new sentencing date will be set in video bail remand court next Thursday. The date will likely be some eight weeks away, The Sudbury Star has learned.

A young Toronto man who left a bloody trail in Sudbury a year ago is headed to the pen.
Cameron Alamina, one of the key figures in a shooting that wounded two men on Whittaker Street last February, pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempted murder.

Alamina, 21, also pleaded guilty to an armed home invasion on Jan. 20, 2020, on Bloor Street. Attackers repeatedly struck a man with a machete, seriously wounding him, while a woman was struck several times with a firearm and suffered serious injuries.
